Ever tied a cup? You'd be surprised at how comfortable and practical they are. Once you've got the hang of it there's no going back to regular disposable tampons.
The cost of single-use period products can amount to £18,450 throughout a person’s lifetime (wen.org.uk). Not only does the Ruby Cup offer cost savings, but it also a reusable alternative to single use products. The cost of one equals the cost of 6 months of single use period products, as the Ruby Cup can be worn for up to 8 hours due to absorbency that holds 3 times the capacity of super tampons. Environmental costs are also lower, lasting up to 10 years - lessening the environmental impact of this waste.
The Ruby Cup is made from a durable, yet soft 100% medical grade silicone, which is free from all plastics, latex, toxins and bleach, and can be easily folded and inserted. With comfortability in mind, the Ruby Cup is available in Small, or Medium and can be trimmed with scissors to adapt to cervical position and flow. Packaged in an organic cotton drawstring bag
Ruby Life donate a cup to a person with no access to menstrual products for every cup sold. So far they have donated 100,000 cups in 13 different countries.

According to the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) charity, single use menstrual products generate 200,000 tonnes of waste per year. Not only is this a significant of waste contributing to landfill, but it is estimated that most menstrual products such as pads are made from 90% plastic. These plastic products can take up to a thousand years to decompose in landfill or in the ocean. With a life span of up to 10 years, the Ruby Cup helps to reduce this environmental impact.
